Diane & David Morgan Thank Fox Chase with Two Planned Gifts

Photo of Diane and David MorganDiane and David Morgan included a bequest for Fox Chase Cancer Center in their wills and established a charitable remainder unitrust benefiting the Center. They considered it only fitting, since Fox Chase had given Diane an incredible gift: the opportunity to live, enjoy her grandchildren, and shake up the old-boy network as a feisty politician in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in the 1980s before treatments had advanced, Diane fought hard in order to be the mom to her two teenaged daughters.

The Morgans established the bequest and charitable remainder unitrust (CRUT) to benefit Fox Chase because “I didn’t have the money to give outright,” Diane said. “I wanted to make a larger gift, and this way it’s made from the estate.”

“Setting up the bequest and trust allowed us to make sure our children know what we want to do with that money when we die,” David said. “This allows us to give back to Fox Chase in a meaningful way.”
